Shannon and Scott - Sept. 30th - Part 1

Monday, October 2, 2006 - Weddings
Man, too many great weddings lately! Well, I guess that isn't a bad thing, because we got SO many great shots from Saturday's wedding! Such a fun and awesome day on Saturday. It was a traveling party - really. We started at Destinations Salon at Leola Village Inn and Suites - which was a gorgeous place - then headed over to the Boxwood Inn, located in Akron, for some dressing shots. Shannon's uncle, Greg Fitzpatrick, is actually the owner of the Boxwood Inn (which is where the reception was held) - so it was a big family event that day. Shannon was one of five children, but her siblings were all boys! Okay I am getting off track, anyway, we did some getting ready shots in the carriage house at the Inn, which is just such an awesome room to shoot in - then headed over to St. Joseph's Catholic in Lancaster for the ceremony. Beautiful traditional Catholic ceremony followed by a very few quick family pics at the church. It was then back over to the Boxwood, for the nearly 2 hour cocktail hour (I know that doesn't make sense but you get what I mean.) and some photos of the wedding party and Shannon and Scott!

Whew! I said it was a busy day! Shannon and Scott were SO much fun to work with - we had a lot of laughs while taking their photos, and there was much joking around - too much as a matter of fact. (Just kidding!) Also, there were so many great details - Shannon's mom, Debbie, had bought like 65 or so mums and planted them around the property, there were also pumpkins, gourds, and apples - fall galore!

And the reception! The very yummy food was provided by Rettew's Catering, and the kickin' dance party was kept jammin' while we were there by DJ Freeze. He kept the dance floor packed!

The evening was topped off by a lot of great dancing, with an appearance by Shannon's friend Peter, dressed up in a Hooter's uniform (a wedding tradition apparently). We did a couple of fun last shots with Shannon and Scott and it was home to finish work on the new web site!
