Melissa and Brady's Very Country Wedding

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 - Weddings
Melissa and Brady were married October 9th at Pheasant Run Farm Bed and Breakfast in Lancaster, with some country western themed details that were just fabulous. They actually live in Alaska (we tried to convince them to fly us out there for their engagement session, but it just didn't work out). Melissa's family is in Lancaster, so that is why they decided to have the wedding here. Melissa put so much work into all of the little details of the wedding - cowboy boots and jean jackets for the girls, bales of hay and mason jars with flowers all over the place. They even had a local Amish man make ALL of the benches for the ceremony. Add in some classic cars (and one truck), a few antiques, and some good old whoopie pies, and you have a down home wedding! :) We really enjoyed working with these two and their guests. Almost everyone was in from out of town, and they all spend some good time talking and reminiscing. Oh! I almost forgot. Part of dinner was fresh Alaskan Halibut that Brady and Melissa caught themselves! Melissa said she caught most of it. ;) Everytime Melissa would come home for wedding stuff, she would bring a suitcase full home frozen. Imagine checking that at the airport!

What a fun day - check out just a handful of our faves!
I LOVE Melissa's boots!
And these invitations, and stationary, isn't it fantastic!?
I super love this shot.
Yep, that's what a praying mantis looks like up close. :)
"Wait for me!"
