Kim & Armand - A Wedding in Pittsburgh

Thursday, August 12, 2010 - Weddings
July 2nd we traveled to Pittsburgh to photograph Kim and Armand's wedding - Kim was a bridesmaid in a past wedding we photographed, and we were super excited when she wanted to bring us out to Pittsburgh for her own wedding. After some getting ready, we headed over to Heinz Chapel on the Pitt campus (where both Kim and Armand went to college) and then it was off to the reception at the PPG Aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoo. It was a really beautiful day and we were really feeling the black and whites. The Cathedral of Learning near the chapel was just amazing for portraits - and we thought it was very Harry Potter-esque. (Reminded me of Hogwarts!)

I don't have a lot of time to write today, so just look at the images! The speak for themselves. :)
Lots of colored bridal shoes this year! Kim had a sweet dark blue pair.
Kim's bridesmaids had her a little stranded in her dress while she was trying to get it on.
Armand on his way out to see Kim for the first time.
In the trolley, Kim was starting to get a little nervous, but was all smiles.
Yay, first look!
Isn't this shot crazy!? I grabbed Kim and her dad coming down the aisle, and with this shot, a guests flash went off at just the right time, and cast a shadow of another guest on the left back wall. Pretty awesome huh?
Now that is a Catholic cathedral!
This was the craziest escalator I have ever seen! It was so steep it was scary.
Joel rocked this shot at the aquarium
Checking out all of the fish!
