Rebecca and Eric - November 3rd

Monday, November 5, 2007 - Weddings
Saturday's wedding was spent in beautiful downtown Philadelphia at the GORGEOUS Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. We had been looking forward to spending this day with Rebecca, Eric and their families for quite some time. It was a very elegant black tie affair, with exquisite details throughout the day. I'll post some links below if you would like to view the vendors contributing to the events of the day.

As for Rebecca and Eric, what can I say about such a wonderful, caring, loving couple? They were glowing an smiling at each other all day and you could see the sincere love in their faces every time they glanced at each other. It was beautiful to behold! They decided to see each prior to the ceremony, so they had some private moments on one of the staircases and then we explored the beautiful surroundings at the Kimmel Center for their portraits. The Jewish ceremony was held in candlelight in the Hamilton Garden, with an entire glass ceiling as a canopy overhead. Rebecca and Eric were under one of the most beautiful chuppah's I have ever seen, and after the "I do's" were said, everyone was whisked away to the social hour downstairs.

The reception was back in the Hamilton Garden where everyone danced the night away!

Thank you both for letting us share in this most important and special day, we feel honored to have been there to document the day!

Ceremony & Reception Venue: Hamilton Garden @ Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia, PA

Caterer: Restaurant Associates

Florist: Jamie Rothstein

The first image below, a very loving and tearful first glance for Rebecca and Eric prior to the ceremony.
Tears of joy still lingering, we whisk them out to the terrace to snag some city shots. City Hall is visible in the background.
I love this portraits Joel photographed. It almost looks like they are floating in the middle of nowhere, but they are really behind a wall.
Practicing some dancing for the reception.
The artwork displayed at the Kimmel was beautiful, and made for some great compositional elements.
We had to throw a little bit of urban in; outside across the street we found an abandoned alley and office building...
Gotta love lines. I loved this detail shot of the placecard table.
One of my favorite shots, this was taken from the Hamilton Garden where the ceremony and reception were held, you can see part of the glass ceiling and the other section of the Kimmel to the left. Buildings outside peer in through the windows.
Nervously awaiting the walk down the aisle, Rebecca and her parents got a chuckle out of her niece walking down the aisle in front of them.
A candlelight ceremony under the chuppah.
Cocktail hour was off to a good start!
Rebecca's father gave a moving speech, not only wishing Rebecca and Eric the best for the future, but reflecting on the past and their meaningful Jewish heritage.
Parent dances were done simultaneously - Rebecca and her father watching Eric and his mother.
And who can forget the horah?
Eric's dad was quite comical.
These two were as playful as school kids during the cake feeding.
And a special time for the moms! It was hard to pick just these favorites, there were so many!
