Heather and Danny - October 7th
Wednesday, October 10, 2007 - WeddingsWell moving on from the bee and the heat from Saturday....Sunday was just as hot! It totally didn't bother us because we had a great wedding to get to - Sunday we traveled down to Washington D.C. for Heather and Danny's wedding. I love Heather and Danny's personalities. They treat us like we are long lost friends, and it has carried through on every meeting we have had and all throughout the wedding day. We love, love, love building relationships like this with our clients.
It started when I arrived in the hotel room to grab the girls getting ready. (Oh and before I forget, the entire wedding was at the GORGEOUS Hotel Monaco - what a place!) - So the girls welcomed me with open arms and we were laughing and joking around the entire time. I have to mention Heather's maid of honor, Nora (Hi Nora!) - as she was a total diva the entire day. Heather warned me that she would be like this and she was so comical! She was constantly strutting around and posing for the camera, making the other girls bust up.
Danny and Heather decided to see each other before the ceremony and have all of the portraits done, so we arranged for them to meet on one of the grand staircases in the hotel - such a beautiful setting. We grabbed some quick portraits of them, their wedding party and family and then it was off to the ceremony! It was a beautiful mixture of cultures and traditions - Jewish and Chinese - with a gorgeous bamboo Chuppah and the Chinese Tea Ceremony was very memorable. We moved freely around the room during the ceremony documenting each tradition, moment and tear. Afterwards, Danny and Heather spent some minutes alone in their room, and then joined the cocktail hour. Danny is such a character, he had us busting up all night - just wait until you see his dance moves!! All of Danny and Heather's guests knew how to party on, and it was an intense dance floor! The night ended with our exhausted couple laying on the floor of the hotel hallway....
