Hot, hot, hot - the Wedding of Laura and Seth

July 19th was a pretty hot day, not our hottest wedding ever - but it was the hottest church we have ever been in! The church was un-air conditioned, and we ended up being inside it for almost 3 hours! Yikes! Although the heat was killing everyone, Laura and Seth breezed through it with smiles and tears. I have never been so moved before, as I was when Laura came down the aisle. I was snapping away, grabbing her and her dad doing the walk, and then I turned, and there was Seth. He was staring lovingly at her, with tears just pouring down his face. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed. Seth has always come across to me as a fairly reserved and serious man, but it was obvious in this moment, how much he truly loved Laura. I had to hold myself back from tearing up myself!

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the reception was a wild one, with the guests partying all night at the Moselem Springs Golf Club - everyone was so warm and inviting, we couldn't help but get great shots!

I am keeping this post short and sweet, cause the photos speak volumes! Let's take a look!

Laura's flower girl was so cute while getting her hair done! She was all excited to show it off!

A Family Affair Out in the Country

So Amy and her brother Jeremy had contacted us a few weeks back to capture some great photos of them with their parents, along with Amy's husband and two children. We had such a wonderful time visiting them at Amy's folks house up in the countryside near Harrisburg. We laughed and played in the field and the nooks and crannies around the property. There were so many possibilities we didn't know where to start!

This pic was taken when Amy and Jeremy were tiny little tikes - their dad asked if we could try to recreate the shot, in front of the same tree, standing the same way - and we did. Joel wanted to include the pic also, so he got this angle on it, it's too cute!

Dalia and Sam's wedding day that rolled! Jellyrolled that is!

Dalia and Sam had a rockin day. That's all I can say. We had a warm welcome at Dalia's parent's house on July 5th, and spent the early stages of the day having a good time there. Dalia was the first daughter to be married, and emotions were running high. Her mom and dad had tears in their eyes during most of our time there, and it was just so sweet to see the connection they all shared. We used their beautiful house to create some awesome shots of Dalia - total supermodel stuff! After that fun was through, we jetted all the way from Kennett Square up to Horsham to grab a few quick shots of Sam and the guys at the Joseph Ambler Inn and then over to where the ceremony and reception were held at The Manor House.

Sam and Dalia had decided to see each other prior to the ceremony so we caught some great moments of that first sight of each other. We then kicked out some family photos and all got ready for the ceremony to start. Clouds were starting to roll in and we were getting a little worried, but luckily the Wiebner luck AGAIN held out and we didn't see any rain until the reception, and then only a few sprinkles. After the ceremony we goofed around with the wedding party and with Sam and Dalia and then totally rocked the night away with the EXTREMELY awesome Jellyroll band. I always say a great band makes a great party, and these guys went above and beyond! One of the best bands we have seen to date!

Dalia and the girls enjoyed some good laughs as we tried to figure out the best angle for this shot.

Dalia's mom requested some shots of her on their staircase, and as Joel set that up, I grabbed Dalia's dad watching from the kitchen. I love that I caught Dalia's reflection in the mirror also!

A 4th of July Wedding - Randi and Ben!

Oh yeah, oh yeah! If we were going to spend the 4th of July shooting a wedding, it was going to be for someone special. And who else than the Larson family? We photographed Kelly and Greg's wedding last summer, and when Randi contacted us for her wedding, we certainly wanted to accept! We loved working with their entire family and knew that another wedding would be a blast - and we weren't disappointed!

Randi and Ben were just so pleasant and easy-going - nothing really phased them about the wedding day. We had gorgeous weather right up until the reception - and then it rained steadily the rest of the evening. The ceremony was at their church in Morrisville, and the reception followed at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell. To follow tradition, we had some friendly athletic competition between members of the wedding party (fence-climbing, what else?) - and then spent the evening tearing up the floor.

I wish there were more Larson girls to be married, Randi is the last - we just love working with them all so much!

Randi has a really stunning dress, she looked just amazing in it.

Ben was a pretty serious guy. We kept on trying to get him to bust up laughing, and we would only really get a quick smile for a split second - until this shot that is! Joel of course did something very Joel-like - and Ben reacted accordingly. I was so glad I was there to get this, what a great expression!

This is not something you see your average bride doing on a daily basis. All of the sisters hopped the fence, and Randi of course couldn't let them outdo her...even in a wedding dress - off she goes!

Instead of your normal blank guest signature book, Randi had a book of photos from New York, and had guests sign in the book. It was a really cute idea. We did a couple of ring shots using some of the photos in the book. I liked this one the best. :)

Lakehouse Inn - Christine & Scott's Thursday wedding

How unusual it is, but we have never had a wedding on a Thursday before. Because of the July 4th weekend, Christine and Scott decided to take advantage of the holiday weekend, and have their wedding on July 3rd, a Thursday. What a gorgeous day! We had never been to the Lake House Inn in Perkasie, PA before, so we were really excited to get to a new location. We really enjoy going to new locations, as it is a total blank canvas and we get to create and have fun in a new place.

The details of this wonderful day were totally fab, with luscious floral arrangements literally everywhere - they were done by
Murphy & Kline Floral Studio. The staff at the Lakehouse was running around everywhere, making sure everything was perfect. Robyn, the coordinator at the Lakehouse was super helpful, and even gave me some bandaids when I realized that my new wedding day shoes were doing a number on my poor feet. The thing about new shoes for work is that you don't really have a great way of breaking them in, except to just wear them to a wedding. After Christine and Scott had shared their first glimpse, and we had done some portraits of them and their wedding party - I realized that my feet were a-hurtin'! I pulled my one shoe off and had a humongous blister on it. I was glad for Robyn's help. Usually I carry some bandaids in my bag, but I was totally out, so she came to the rescue.

Just before the ceremony, thunderstorm clouds started rolling in and we were a bit worried about the weather. But the good old Wiebner weather luck held out, and the outdoor ceremony went on as planned. It did make for a really dramatic sky, which Joel got a shot of below during the ceremony.

The reception totally rocked! Everyone was all over the dance floor and we were eating it up! Apparently Scott is normally not much of a dancer, but he was tearin' up the floor that night! Christine kept exclaiming that she didn't know who this strange man was. It was pretty funny. Mark and Chris from Synergetic Sounds, seriously had the floor packed all night. They kept the music flowing and people on the floor - they were really great to work with. And for any of you Mark Wahlberg fans out there - Mark is a dead ringer for him!

The night ended with a bit of a 4th of July touch - guests holding sparklers lined the walkway and Christine and Scott took off towards their hideaway inside the Lake House!

This first shot is totally rad - I grabbed it while the girls were getting ready and really had fun playing with the light and mirrors in this room.

Ok, you can't really tell what is going on in this pic, but I have to elaborate cause it was funny. Scott went to break the glass, and it slipped right out from under his foot and went flying across the ground. That is what produced these wonderful reactions. :)
