Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see an "I Like This" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Hey blog followers! Just wanted to let you all know that we are taking our mid-season break. Emails and voicemails will be replied to upon our return to the office on August 3rd. Happy summer!
What can I say about Dan and Amber? Saturday's wedding at Lauxmont Farms Rotunda was an absolute blast thanks to these two! The weather was GORGEOUS, with bright blue skies and puffy little white clouds everywhere. The day started out by getting a few quick shots at the hotel where Amber was getting things together - we walked in to her saying she was glad we weren't there a few minutes earlier, because Dan had just sent a gift over! She had been crying and didn't want us to see. Dan gave her a silver heart pendant necklace, which she didn't take off all day. Not to be outdone, Amber then told us she had gotten Dan some cufflinks - of one of his favorite superheroes - Spiderman! And they weren't the "cheesy" kind either - she said! She got them directly from Marvel and they were so cool! Watch for them to appear later...
Off to the Rotunda we dashed, for some quick portraits of Dan and the guys, then Amber and the gals - followed by a hilltop ceremony overlooking the Susquehanna River. Afterwards, we tromped around Lauxmont, found some new hiding places, and had more fun than we hoped for taking their portraits. They were up for anything, which is music to our ears.
The inside of the Rotunda was decorated exquisitely, with orchids, paper lanterns, and handmade paper cranes (Dan made each one of these himself for place card holders!) - in white, black and green. Everyone danced the night away, and we grabbed Amber and Dan for a special parting shot, and said our goodbyes! A great way to end the first half of the year!
Amber had just told me how she couldn't believe how perfect everything looked - and then she unveiled her dress! It was so beautiful, with beadwork all over.....here's a happy and content bride soaking it in...

Amber's entire bouquet was white/green orchids - just beautiful - and her hair was simply done along with a pinned in veil. Beauty at it's finest!

Heather and Tom - July 14th Tuesday, July 17, 2007
Saturday we had the pleasure of working with Heather and Tom at their wedding in the Lancaster area. Heather had the cutest little ring bearers, we couldn't help but follow them around! We have so many cute shots of them - and Heather looked beautiful! Joel got a chance to ride on the Red Rose Trolley again as we headed to the reception at Riverdale Manor! Tom surprised us by "cutting loose" at the reception and was dancing up a storm with friends and family. What a blast!
Here is Heather putting her bracelet on while dad is fiddling with his shirt buttons in the background - so cute!

And the shovel lives on... Thursday, July 12, 2007
If you follow our blog, you know about our other blog, a little thing called The Traveling Shovel. Well our poor little shovel has been traveling for several months now, but several weeks back he was lost in the mail. It was a sad day in the Wiebner household when we got the news. We debated about what to do, but decided we needed it to live on. Shovel Junior came into the world and made his first appearance at the AC Trash Bash on Tuesday. Here is one of the images, you can see the rest on the shovel blog (click on it above).
Backstory - our dear friend John Michael Cooper started all of this - the shovel business and the dress trashing. We all really owe it to him. He is such a cool, down to earth, humble person - that just likes to make cool images. Anyway, because of all of the press lately that the Trash the Dress site has been getting, John has started taking a lot of heat for some of his images. It doesn't bother him, he thrives on it, but a lot are looking at his images, calling them mysoginistic (yeah, look that one up) - and that he has a bad attitude towards brides.
To put a spin on this, and to take a little jab at all of the naysayers out there - I visualized this concept about a month or so ago, and made it come to life in AC. I think the image speaks for itself...
There are a few other images from this shoot in AC over on the shovel blog, go check them out.
