Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see an "I Like This" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Trish and Kurt were married May 30th in York County. Some event details to start:
Ceremony: Bethlehem UM Church, Codorus, PA
Reception: Yorktowne Hotel, York, PA
Florist:Karen Grove
Bakery:Providence Bakery, York, PA
Band:Renaissance Orchestra Stylist & Coordinator:Michael Alan
Trish was so absolutely excited for us to be there! I love it when our couples love us. :) We love them too. After we arrived at her parent's house and photographed the girls preparing for the day, it was off to the church for the ceremony. We stopped on the way to the Yorktowne at the "town square" in Jefferson, PA - which was very quaint, for some wedding party shots. The excitement was building as we arrived at the Yorktowne and spent some time with Kurt and Trish. We ended up in the ballroom at the end of their portrait time, and it looked gorgeous! We haven't been to the Yorktowne for a few years, and they changed things around a bit. There is so much light in there now! We were excited for the reception to start. Trish had a lot of snazzy details at the reception - I totally loved her cake!
The reception was a party to remember, with the dance floor packed all night. Just the way we like it. ;)
The girls were all helping Trish in her dress, there were so many hands helping, it was quite comical!

Outside, the girls were all laughing at Joel. He's quite funny sometimes.

We found this corner in Trish' parent's house and worked the window light. It was soft and clean.

In Jefferson the wind was having its way with Trish' veil. Everyone was very helpful though in making it go where it was supposed to.

At the Yorktowne, the wind was STILL having some fun with Trish.

The hotel is very historic, and I was digging this area at the bottom of a staircase.

The end of the night! Thanks guys for being so fun!
Baby Ava's 3rd shoot! Ava's parents had plans to go outside for this shoot, but on our way up to their house, a huge thunderstorm blew through, leaving everything all wet and yucky. We played around inside for a bit and did manage to get some shots outside. Ava is so much fun right now! She is sitting up on her own and her expressions are so great. We really loved the different faces she was making. It's so fun to watch her grow up right in front of our cameras!

Sarah and Dave Frolicking in the Park Friday, June 26, 2009
Sarah and Dave! Are getting married July 4th and last month they met up with us at Lancaster Central Park for some engagement shots. They were both a little nervous about being in front of the camera, but we quickly eased their pain with our goofy antics. These two are so fun I don't know why they were worried! We traipsed through the flowers, took a nap in the ferns, and pretended to be superheroes. Mix that up with some snuggle snuggles and you get some great photos! Enjoy the photos guys and see you next week!

Amy and Kyle's Wedding Published in The Knot Magazine Thursday, June 18, 2009
Just wanted to share that Amy and Kyle's Wedding! was published in the Fall/Winter 2009 issue of The Knot Magazine. Amy and Kyle's names might not ring a bell - but if I say, "The ice cream truck wedding" I bet that brings it back for you! Amy and Kyle had one of the hottest weddings we have ever photographed - last June 7th, the temperature soared to over 100 degrees for the day. We all spent the day sweating! These two had some fun details during their day, and luckily one of them was an ice cream truck at the reception. It was the perfect day for it!
Amy and Kyle's wedding is also featured on The Knot's web site - you can see some more photos and read further details of their day.
May 23rd we met up again with Erica and Tom for their wedding at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA. We have worked with Erica's "group" of friends multiple times before, and it was like a family reunion! Two of our past brides were in attendance at the wedding. It was so much fun knowing so many people!
Erica's dress was really gorgeous, I just loved it. We had some good times taking portraits of her in the cottage where she prepared for the day. Luckily the rain held off so that we could get some outside portraits of her and the girls, and then Tom and the guys before the ceremony. The weather continued in our favor for the ceremony, which was a blessing, as it was outside. It proved to be a memorable ceremony, as the bridesmaids processed down the aisle, tears erupted as Tom's sister came in to view. Both her and Tom started the waterworks as she took her place next to the other bridesmaids. Tom's tears continued as Erica came in to view. We don't often see grooms that are so emotional, and thus, I was fighting tears back as well!
As we squeezed in a few quick portraits, we were all excited to get to the reception! Since Erica is pretty short, she had super high heels on and her feet were a hurtin! She needed a break before the reception. Her and Tom ran off to have some down time before the reception got into full gear. Dancing was rocking at the reception - a great band helps that along! - and it continued to the very end of the night! What a great day!

Its funny cause we were all joking about this painting in the background and how there are always these unattractive paintings in hotel rooms. :) I made it work for this shot.
