Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see an "I Like This" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita

Erika and Mahmood, Part 1 - March 24th Sunday, March 25, 2007
Alright all of you Wiebner fans! The season is officially started! Erika and Mahmood's wedding couldn't have gone better for our start to the new wedding season. We did their engagement photos last year, so they were both totally comfortable with us and not afraid to do anything for the camera. (Plus Erika really LOVES pictures!) We were all over Lancaster County for this wedding - getting ready at the Hampton Inn, then over to the Leffler Chapel at F&M College for the ceremony and finally the Lehr Ballroom at Millersville University for the reception. We both had such a fantastic day shooting, we really wanted to say a big "Thanks!" to Erika and Mahmood for being so cooperative. As you can see, the creative juices were flowing! We got SOOO many great shots, that it was hard to choose images for the blog! Here are some of our favorites.

First one up here is Erika's mom and I just LOVED her hat. It had so much character and I am so glad I got some cute shots of here like this first one.

This image is to make a believer out of some of you who don't think that you can have great photos without having a pretty location - it's not true! This shot was done in Erika's hotel room at the Hampton right after she got ready...

Erika and Mahmood, Part 2 - March 24th Sunday, March 25, 2007
So there is a story behind this image! It had rained almost all day Friday, so the ground was pretty wet for Saturday. Never fear - Erika was a brave bride and tromped through the muddy grass to the pool in the park to get this shot along with her entire wedding party. Now to top it off, I got WET getting this shot! You can probably see by the reflection in the pool, but if you can't - the pool was very WET! I was laying down on my stomach to get this shot (Joel has photographic evidence of me doing so!) and got the front of my pants and shirt pretty moist. It was worth it for the shot!

Wow, we've never done this before Sunday, March 25, 2007
TWO brides at the same wedding? WHAT??? But that is what happened on Saturday....backstory.....
Erika was our bride from Saturday, and has been such a doll to work with. We did her and Mahmood's Engagement Photos in Baltimore, last year. So one of Erika's bridesmaids, Stacey didn't have the best of luck with her wedding day photos - her and her husband Dan, didn't have any usable photos of themselves that they had taken on their wedding day. So Erika knew how great we are (her words, not mine!) and asked if we would be willing to take a couple of quick photos of Stacey and Dan during her own reception. SOOOOO......we ended up with 2 brides on Saturday! Below are 2 of the shots we did of Stacey and Dan, this was done during the cocktail hour, during a 15 minute time frame, in a small, small convention room with just one window. All ya need is light!
Stacey and Dan we hope you guys like the images and hope we can work with you again in the future!
So today (Friday), Zane got a haircut. Zane getting a haircut is a big deal in our house. Except for one cut last year, he has always had long, curly, red hair. We loved his hair and thought he looked so cute, but didn't realize that it might not be so "cute" to other kids. We have had lots of people comment on "What a pretty girl you have!" and have laughed it off in the past. But now other kids are starting to call him a girl, and even his own brother! So it was time. Joel commented on Friday afternoon that he was going to get his hair cut, and Zane, very quietly from the back seat said, "Dada, can I get my hair cut too?" It was so heartbreaking we had to do it. The poor little guy! He has been wanting to have hair like his big brother Haydn for a little while now, so he finally got it! Now he thinks that him and Haydn are "twins", and we don't have to worry about anyone thinking he is a girl! Congrats to our little guy for making his first big boy decision on how he wants his hair cut - he is growing up too fast!
