Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see an "I Like This" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
This is seriously some of the most fun I have had on a kids session like ever! Ruby, Scarlett and Delilah are sisters with spunk. Their mom decided to let them wear their Halloween costumes for the session we did with them a few weeks back, and I am SO glad she did! It added so much color to the shoot. We followed this trio around and they played in the grass, ran in the field, and explored in the forest. We ended up at an old playground, with some retro looking equipment for climbing on and riding. Don't you just love these girls? I seriously could have shot them forever - they just loved to be themselves!

The Wiebner pack walk in the Tailwagger Trot Tuesday, October 20, 2009
So last Sunday, October 11th we walked in the 20th Annual Humane League Tailwagger Trot. We were so excited to participate! We have been supporters of the Humane League for years, and we adopted 3 of our cats there. This was our first year walking in the Trot, and we raised as a pack, a little over $400! Our goal was $500, but we came up a little short. We were still thrilled that we raised what we did. The day of the trot was perfect, and we all had a lot of fun. Check out the photos of the Wiebner family!
Here's Zaney with our adopted best friend, Icarus the Italian Greyhound.

How many greyhounds can we get in one photo? Our friends Diana and Jim also have 2 Italian Greyhounds,Lola and Gracie (they are in the one in the purple sweaters) and they walked with us in our pack. While waiting for the walk to start, we saw a gorgeous brindle Greyhound. They all decided it was time to sniff each other!

Just as the walk started down Prince Street - a huge group of motorcycles rode by. There must have been at least a hundred of them!

We win! The 39th wedding of Frank and Evette Thursday, October 15, 2009
No, no, no, Evette and Frank have not been married 39 times. :) Allow me to explain....
So Evette and Frank were married on September 25th. We were really looking forward to this wedding. When Evette first contacted us she told us that she and Frank had been at 38 weddings in the last several years together (that's a lot of weddings - she isn't even in the wedding industry!) - and that out of the 38 weddings, she still remembers our photos from Kelly and TJ's wedding from 2006. One of her bridesmaid's had shown her these photos (the bridesmaid had also been a bridesmaid at Kelly's wedding), and she just loved them. She said she loved our photos that best and wanted us for her wedding! Needless to say we were thrilled to hear that - but hey, that's a lot to live up to! :) Just kidding, we knew we could get some great memories for Evette and Frank, and although we didn't meet them until the wedding day, we fit right in. Evette is fun and bubbly and Frank, well Frank was Frank! Let's just say he liked us too - and at the reception, even had a fascination with Joel's famous goatee. A whole conversation at dinner came about because of it. ;)
The wedding day itself was a whirlwind and the morning flew by super quick - these guys didn't want a ton of portraits or posed shots, so we were able to really focus on capturing all of the moments we witnessed. The ceremony was at Evette's church she had gone too since she was a kid, and the reception was at the gorgeous, Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. This reception was way off the charts - with a cocktail hour that had like 14 or 15 food stations for all of the guests, a martini bar that was actually made out of ice! and an insane dessert feast at the end of the reception. Let's see what all happened!
Frank's poor sister! She had her zipper break on her dress just as we were getting ready to do some photos of the girls at Evette's house. Frank's other two sisters stepped up to the plate and tried to fix it lightning quick!

Love, love, love, love....did I say love? this shot I did of Evette at her house. I saw the stairs, saw the light and was like, "Hey Evette, can I do a portrait of ya quick?" and this is what happened. Isn't it something? Some of my favorite shots are done in stairways and hallways.

Love this look on Evette's dad's face, I can't remember what the officiant said to get this reaction, but it sure was funny.

Silliness with Emily and Matt Tuesday, October 13, 2009
Emily and Matt were a barrel of laughs when they came to Lancaster for their engagement session. We will be photographing their wedding in December, and they wanted to have us work some pre-wedding magic to get them comfy in front of the camera. What we weren't expecting, was how absolutely silly and fun they were! Laughing and joking around with each other, they were very easy to photograph. We walked around downtown on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and found some new spots to shoot in. That's what I love about our little city, no matter what direction we walk from the studio, we can always find something different to shoot. We shoot downtown a lot, and no two sessions are ever the same! It's the best. Let's see what Emily and Matt revealed of themselves at their session...

Dave, Jodi, Emily, Haley, Marc & Matt rockin the cool sneaks! Monday, October 12, 2009
Sooooo......still playing massive catchup - we are way busy with production and Teeny Weeny sessions and fall portrait sales and getting ready for Christmas - goodness! This is always our busiest time of the year. If you have contacted us recently and haven't heard back yet, keep the faith, we have received your phone call or email, we are just a little behind right now!
So moving on to THIS particular cool session - we have known Dave for a few years and he finally decided it was time for us to do some portraits of his fun family! Why is this family so fun you may ask? Cause Dave and Jodi have TWO, count them TWO sets of twins! Emily and Haley are 12, and Matt and Marc are 4. How cool is that?! Dave made a special request of getting some shots of their shoes, they all love shoes, and Emily in particular loves to wear two different socks! Dave and Jodi said she has done that since she was a little kid, I thought it was pretty neat. So we got a bunch of shoe and sock pics, along with some playing around downtown Lancaster. Check out this family!
