A very active 2 year old Katherine

Wednesday, February 4, 2009 - Babies & Kids
So getting back on track finally! We photographed Katherine way back in November, at her house in York, PA. We have worked with her family now for the 4th time - we photographed her Aunt Sarah's wedding several years ago, and have done various portrait sessions for the family over the years. This time it was Katherine's turn, and her new baby cousin - Trip! (That's his nickname, and he sure is a cutie!) Suzi, Katherine's mom, was hoping for a cousin shot for Christmas presents. We were able to get just a few shots - cause it's so hard to get a 2 year old to sit with a little baby when she doesn't want to! :) We did get a bunch of shots of Katherine just being herself, which is what Suzi also wanted. It's always best to let the little ones (anywhere from 1 - 3 year olds) just do their thing and capture that. If you try to force them to do something they don't want to - you won't get a thing! So we followed Katherine around and then she finally ended up in her playroom jumping on the sofa and that's what did it - she had so much fun with that! We were probably in there with her for a good 20 minutes or so, jump, jump, jumping! We had a blast with this gang and hope to see them again soon.

Since Trip was only a few weeks old, Liz (Trip's mom) wanted a family shot, so we grabbed that first.
Katherine liked playing with mommy!
Trip was a trip! Ha!
Ya gotta love the classic nose picking shot.
Oh one other thing that Katherine loved - was Mickey Mouse and all of the Disney characters. She had all of these stuffed Disney characters and we were using them to help us get some good expressions out of her. Here she REALLY wanted Mickey!
A milk break was most necessary!
We ended up back down in the family room with Katherine jumping on her trampoline - this girl just loved to JUMP!
She had THE most adorable naturally curly hair too - she looked like a doll. So cute!
