Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
So let me start out by saying we have been trying to do this session since last November! We (and Helen, Brayden & Gaven's mom) rescheduled several times due to weather, illnesses, etc. Then we finally decided to wait until the weather was nicer, so here we are. Helen wanted this session in all black and white, and while we haven't done all BW for a session before, it was kind of fun! We played with the kids outside in their yard - on their playset, etc. - we went for more high contrast backgrounds with this shoot when we possibly could. I think we got some great shots and were able to experiment all at the same time. Check out what Brayden and Gaven were up to...
Keira's mom, Jen, hired us for some portraits of Keira to mark her 1 year birthday. Jen also has twins that are older than Keira, and she had some shots of them done at the same age. We talked about a lot of ideas, and ended up with some fun at the park for Keira.
Keira is such a sweetie! Lititz Spring Park made a great play area for Keira to explore. We climbed on the train, went on the swings, and crawled around on the grass. Keira really loved playing with the leaves and the sticks that she found on the ground. Mom and dad loved all of these shots!

Lori, Mike, and that oh so funny Griffin! Wednesday, June 23, 2010
Oh Griffin! Griffin is something else. He's a typical baby, except he really has this thing for mouthing up whatever we put him in when we are photographing him! He first did it back at the Valentine's TWW session, and now here at his 6 month-ish session with his crib, and he even did it with a beach ball at the TWW Beach session just a few weeks ago! I think its an ongoing theme with Griffin. :)
We photographed Lori & Mike's wedding a few years ago, and Griffin is there first little one. I love seeing babies of our past couples! Lori had asked when she brought Griffin in for the Valentine's session, what the best age would be to have him photographed. I adamantly stated, "6-9 months!" the best age for babies, for real! They are so fun at this age, they are sitting up, but not really going anywhere yet, and are totally animated in their expressions. You can see all of that in Griffin below!

Tanner's Presto Change-o! Fun baby session! Thursday, June 10, 2010
Tanner's mommy asked if we could do something different for his portrait session, so we decided to play baby dress up! Tanner was a wonderful sport, and put up with the many changes. First he was a handsome office worker in his shirt and tie. We played in his crib for those shots. He really likes the turtles in his crib. After we were done with that, we Tanner decided to be a cow. This one was especially fun. Next, he turned into a Newsie, in his vintage looking attire. And lastly, we went for the summer casual, with a button down turtle shirt. We moved all over the house for this session, and also taught Tanner some bad tricks. (oops!) Like climbing the stairs, sitting in the toy box...
Jen (Tanner's mommy) thought we were a bad influence. :) You decide!

Baby Portrait! Jack, his puffs, & his Turtle Thursday, May 20, 2010
We have photographed both of Tracey's sisters weddings (Kelly & Greg in 2007 and Randi & Ben in 2008), and Tracey was actually the first to find us, but we were booked for her wedding. Boo. So even though Tracey didn't get to have us photograph her wedding, she has a little guy name Jack that likes to work it for the camera. :) Tracey's sisters bought her a gift certificate for a session with us, so now, she finally gets to have some photos from us!
A couple weeks ago her and Jeff brought little Jack up to see us and we went to the park. The sky was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS that day, and we tried to included it as much as we could. Tracey came prepared, with a whole can of "puffs" for Jack to keep him happy and his turtle ball pit! That's some major props right there. Totally made for some awesome shots though! We were rolling (practically) on the ground laughing at Jack when he threw a tantrum cause we took the puffs away from him. You just have to look at that shot below!
Isn't that sky amazing!?
