Moving Time!

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 - News
A new year brings new changes, and you have probably been wondering what we have been up to lately. The year started out with January being a flurry of catching up from the Christmas rush, as it always is. Before we really caught our breath, February moved in and with it, brought an unexpected surgery for myself. January 31st I went to the ER, and 48 hours later, I was discharged minus one pesky gall bladder. Needless to say, most of February was spent recovering for me. It wasn't until about 2 weeks ago that I really started feeling like myself again. Surgery stinks!

March has almost come and gone, leading us into April and our wedding season will start in full swing at the end of April. Where is the time going? To top it off, we have had to make some big decisions in the last 2 weeks which brings me to the real purpose of this post. First of all, I want to say, we have loved being in our studio and store space, and belonging to the community of business owners on the 300 Block of N. Queen. But, we have realized that the space is way too big for our needs for our business. Joel and I have never really liked working in the confines of a studio space. We are technically proficient as photographers to use a studio space, we just don't enjoy it. For our portraits, we love photographing on location - either downtown, at our client's homes, or another exciting location.

With this being said, we have decided we are moving our offices back to our home over the next several weeks. Our lease is up at the end of May for our studio/store and we have decided not to renew it. This doesn't affect anything for our services to our wedding and portrait clients in any way. We are just making some changes, and this is one of them. We want to focus on our wedding and portrait clients wholeheartedly! A lot of time and effort goes into running a large studio/store such as the one we had. We felt we were being pulled into too many different directions. If you have been in to our store, Photografica, no worries, we still will be selling vintage cameras and photographs online through our Etsy store when we have time. We will be doing that as more of a hobby from now on. We love doing it!

Effective immediately, our mailing address for any client correspondence or payments is as follows:

The Wiebners
608 N. Pine Street
Lancaster, PA 17603

This is to be used as a mailing address only. There will not be a formal meeting space/walk in accessibility at our home. From now on we will be by appointment only. We do want to continue to participate in activities and other interests on the 300 Block of N. Queen; we have put so much time into the block over the last 2 years! We will be purchasing a membership to The Candy Factory, a co-working space on the 300 Block of N. Queen, to conduct client meetings for the future.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about our move, please do not hesitate to ask! Also, we appreciate everyone's patience for the next several weeks as we transition spaces. We may be not as responsive to emails and phone calls during the transition.
