Teeny Weeny Wiebs #4 - Back to School

Wednesday, September 9, 2009 - Teeny Weeny Wiebs Sessions
August's Teeny Weeny Wiebs sessions are here! Our favorite photos from the sessions (shown below) were hung in our gallery/studio here in Lancaster for September's First Friday (September 4th). We had a great turnout that night and with your generous voting, we raised about $250 for our boys school, Sacred Heart School!! And the winner of our voting was our first image below - Riley! Her parents will get to keep the fine art print that is hanging in our studio.

If you didn't get a chance to get in to the studio to see the gorgeous prints, no worries! The show will be up until October 1st.

In case you don't know what Teeny Weeny Wiebs are: Each month we will pick one day to do "mini shoots" that are themed. The shoots will last only 15 minutes each and only cost $25 for the session! Joel and I will be coming up with fun new ideas for the themes each month. Some of the sessions will be for kids, some for pets, some for adults - some for all ages! Yes, we are doing this each and every month! As an added twist to our Teeny Weeny sessions - we will be picking our favorite image from each session and displaying them in our gallery on First Friday each month. We will be using the photos to help raise money for a different charity each month. Here's the deal: Come in on First Friday and vote for your favorite Teeny Weeny image. You can vote by placing a monetary donation in a bucket under your favorite print. All of the money we collect in the buckets will go to charity, and the image that collects the most money wins! The client will receive the print for free that collects the most donations.

If you are interested in future Teeny Weeny Wiebs session - please send us an EMAIL to get more info! The spots go quick! Our next Teeny Weeny Wiebs sessions will be "Pumpkin Carving" (we still have 4 spots left!) - we will have some fun with pumpkins, painting pumpkins and carving them! The sessions will take place on September 23rd. If you sign your kids up, they will not need to have their costumes for the shoot. We will actually be doing Halloween mini-sessions the week of Halloween. Stay tuned for more details on that.

Here is Miss Riley! She was all ready to go in her pink! She was a trooper for agreeing to my silly idea of lying on the books. We had to wiggle her around a bit to get her to stay on the books, but in the end it was well worth it! Riley's winning print raised $82.00!! Way to go friends and family of Riley! Her mom was in today to make her order and she was thrilled that they won.
Cade, Luke and Owen were characters! They had some fun with the desks.
Noah and Alyssa were on top of the world! Well not really, but they sure were having fun tossing it around!
Brielle was a cutie! She was a little shy, but we managed to get a few quick giggles out of her. She had some fun with these books and drawing a picture for her mommy.
Adelynn is an ARTISTE!
Paige and Lauren were digging these books - they were looking past me to show their mommy!
Simon was something. I loved the red tie, and the funny faces. We ended up hanging this print of him in the front store window, and the 2nd image below was the more serious Simon which we hung in the gallery show.
Mr. Mitchell! It was so cool to have a teacher sign up for the mini shoots. This is first full year in a permanent teaching position, so him and his mom thought it would be cool to get some photos to remember this first year of his career!
Rayna was totally excited when I told her she could launch these flash cards. Can't you tell?
Nicholas was learning some science stuff.
AND, he was showing off with his brother Noah and his sister Sami.
This one also went in the front window of these three - more fun with the flash cards! Noah is getting some massive air!
Ellen, Ian and Lillian were very studious. Well, Ellen looks more mischevious. :)
