Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Not much needs to be said here - these are some of our closest photographer friends - Matthew Tennison and his wife Maria, and my little buddy Samuel! We finally photographed their little family having some good times in Lititz. We went to the park, walked downtown and ended up at the scrumptious Cafe Chocolate, one of their favorite restaurants. It was super hot that day, and Cafe Chocolate tasted sooo good!

Danielle, Mitch & Darby at Longwood Gardens Monday, June 28, 2010
All of our couples are having babies! Its like a baby bonanza lately. I love it when our wedding clients come back to have their firstborn baby photos taken with us. It makes us feel all warm and gooey inside! Miss Darby is a little girl with an adorable smile and some attitude. She is definitely a girl that knows what she wants - and what she DIDN'T want was to sit still for photos at Longwood Gardens with her mom and dad. We didn't give up though - we NEVER give up! We chased her all over the place and got some funny grumpy girl faces, and some fun smiling faces too. Danielle and Mitch loved the photos!
Darby was a little scared of Joel at first, but we soon won her over. :)

Yes, she wasn't happy in this photo, its a fact of being a toddler. Is it a bad photo? I don't think so! You have to remember what your kids were really like!

We ventured inside to the kids garden, and we had a lot of fun there. We found these great red chairs, and Darby had gotten a lot of her energy out so she sat still and played with us.

Randy, Lisa and the boys! Wednesday, June 23, 2010
Lisa and Randy had been in for our Valentine's day shoot, and had wanted to get their kids involved in some sessions as well. We walked around Lancaster and had some fun with Lisa, Randy and his boys. There was a lot of goofing off and joking around as you can see! Can't wait to work with these guys again, next time we will get to photograph Randy, Lisa and her kids!

Jen, Derric & Anna in downtown York Wednesday, June 23, 2010
Isn't Anna the sweetest thing? She is so adorable! Way back in May (yeah, we are THAT far behind with blogging) - we hiked down to York to photograph Anna with her mom Jen, and dad, Derric. Jen had heard about us from one of our past brides, Crisha, and was really excited to have us take some photos of all of them. York was pretty blustery that day, the wind was whipping all over the place - sending Anna and Jen's hair flying! After some fun out on the street, we tucked into market, and found some super fun backdrops to use. We really enjoyed working with little Anna and her mom and dad, I hope we can do it again real soon!
Happy baby!

Deep in the heart of Texas 2! Kelly and Family Wednesday, May 19, 2010
One of Melissa's colleagues, Kelly, was interested in a portrait session as well while we were in San Antonio. Her and Melissa live near each other, about 15-20 minutes north of downtown San Antonio. Kelly had a beautiful house, family, pets, personality - all of it! She was so hospitable while we were there. Kelly's husband James, is a veterinarian, so they have a ton of pets! Dogs, cats, goats - some of them got in on the photo session. Collin (13) and Caroline (9) had some fun with us - Caroline loves her puppy, and Collin is pretty big into basketball, so we got some shots of them doing those things they love.
We were so happy to be able to just fit right in and work with such wonderful people. We could tell that Kelly and James were really passionate about their professions and their family. We could have photographed them all day!
Collin is a teenager now, so he was trying to be too cool for us, but we managed to crack that exterior and get to the meat of him. :)

Collin, giving Caroline the stare down in the dining room. :)

I absolutely love the trees that they have in San Antonio - every single tree is curved and bended in about a zillion different ways. Completely different from trees we have here in PA.

After we got some formal portraits done, it was time for an outfit change and some more casual stuff. Caroline was hanging out in the living room talking to me about what it is like here in PA.

Yes, we got ALL of the dogs to look! It really isn't that hard, you just need to have some tricks up your sleeve. Or a Joel on hand. :)
