How would you like your Wiebners?

Thursday, October 23, 2008 - Workshops/Photography Industry
So I feel like it's been too long. It has been a crazy, insane, off-the-wall last couple of months. Blogging has been unfortunately taking a backseat to producing albums and editing weddings. I feel completely out of touch with all of you loyal blog followers. Things will change soon - I have a ton of great weddings, portrait sessions and personal stuff to get up. The kids have been in soccer this fall, and I have some super cute images of them playing soccer. Can't wait to share them with you!

We just completed our 2nd Wieblab Workshop for photographers - to say it went phenomenally is an understatement. We kept this workshop small on purpose; we wanted to spend more individual time with each attendee. We only had 4 participants this time around, but we all felt like a closeknit family by the end of the 3 days. The sharing, laughter, fun and bonding will not be forgotten soon. Here are just a few quotes from our new friends we made at the workshop that have already come in:

"I just wanted to thank you both so much for the past 3 days. The whole thing totally blew my expectations way outta the water!!

I was telling my wife last night that even beyond the photography and business side of the whole experience, I can't remember that last time that I was in such a positive environment. Really! It was one of the most positive and uplifting experiences of my life!

I can't thank you guys enough. Please, please, please keep me updated as to when the next workshop is going on.
I may become a Wieblab addict!"

"I just wanted you to know how much fun I had over the past few days. Your input, advice, antics, creativity and thoughtfulness was really what I
needed to give me a creative kick in the pants (in a good way).

I felt my work getting stale in the past few months and I needed that reminder that I just need to get out of my head more often and just shoot
with intuition and good stuff will come of it - - it always does.

Having been immersed in your work for the past few days, I also wanted to tell you how absolutely impressed I am at your approach to your business,
your client relationships and your images. It's so thoughtful and I really respect that when I see "creatives" who care so much about the industry, not
just their images.

I hope this was just the beginning of more time spent together."

Joel and I absolutely love sharing what we know with others. We were planning on not doing any workshops for next year, but the constant stream of emails, as well as the overwhelming response to the just completed workshop, has us second guessing ourselves. We are contemplating doing Wieblab #3, possibly in January or February of 2009. We really enjoyed the smaller class size, so we would limit attendees to 6 maximum.

So I need your help. If you are a photographer out there, and would be interested in learning from Joel and I, what would you be interested in? We are starting to do more one-on-one consultations, but are also open to having another workshop here in Lancaster, or even traveling to other cities if the demand is great enough. So I ask you, oh photographer friends, how would you like your Wiebners?
