Wedding No. 317: Christin & Dave's Wedding at that Big Yellow Barn!
Tuesday, June 4, 2013 - WeddingsWe love us some good spring weddings! Christin & Dave's was nothing short of wonderful on April 27th. Flowers blooming, sun shining, bees buzzing, pollen stirring (achoo! sorry, have to power through those silly spring allergies) - ah spring! We loved photographing them for their engagement session last year, and were really excited to see them again for the wedding! After a lovely ceremony at Zion Lutheran in Leola, it was off to that perfect yellow barn for photos and the reception. You know the place - Landis Valley Museum. There are so many great spots on that property. Sigh. So many spots, so little time. The reception was a go at your own pace style, with people milling about in the lovely setting sun outside, jumping in a photobooth with a piece of fake mustache plastered somewhere on their face, or sitting around inside the barn casually talking about the day. After the cake, the dancing really started and then everybody was up and hootin' and hollerin' and it was a good ol' barn dance going on. Perfect! A great way to end the day!
We worked with several of our favorite vendors (again, yay!) and they need to have a mention:
Catering - Rettew's - one of our favorite caterers around, and Jen was who recommended us to Christin and Dave. Thanks Jen!
DJ - Occasions DJ - always love working with Matt! Professional and gets the job done!
Cake - Oregon Dairy
Flowers - Flowers by Paulette
