Meghan & Paul in a (semi) rainy (but awesome) Day in Carlisle
Friday, August 19, 2011 - WeddingsYes, I am getting caught up with blog posts! Woohoo, it feels good! Meghan and Paul were married August 6th in Carlisle, and what a fantastic day! They were both so fun to work with, we knew from our first meeting with them that they were gonna be easy peasy to photograph, and we were right. They both are comfortable with each other and laughing and having a good time with us. You know it's funny, cause almost every single one of our clients says to us in some form "I don't take good pictures." or "I am like totally awkward in front of the camera." Don't worry! All you have to do is be yourself and trust us to capture those little slices of your personality. I don't think I have once ever had a client tell me that they didn't like their photos. Most people are amazed at how natural and happy they look in their wedding photos. That's what our job is for! We are the experts and this is why you hire us. Enough said about that!
So Meghan and Paul were funny and silly and all kinds of good stuff. It started out with Meghan and the gals at here parent's house and one of the first things she told me was that she knew it was going to rain that day. I said, "Why?" and she told me that for every single one of the family weddings on Paul's side, it has rained. He told her when they started planning the wedding, just to expect rain on their wedding day. And of course, it rained! It pretty much poured as the girls were trying to get from the house to the "bus" that was waiting to take them to the church. It was so hot and humid on the bus we all thought we were going to die!
Once we got to the church, the rain did slow down and by the time the ceremony was over, we had a glorious break in the weather and were able to do all of the portraits outside for about an hour or so - we went to Dickinson College Campus, and then headed over to the Carlisle Ribbon Mill for the reception. What a great location! Loved all of the exposed brick and the room was beautiful. The party was of course spectacular and you can tell by the reception shots below that fun was had by all. Congrats guys!
