Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Amy (Ella's mommy) is friends with one of our past brides, so when she saw we were having a portrait special, she decided to give us a call. Amy is pregnant with her next child, so she wanted to have some special photos of Ella before the new baby comes. Her, Steve and Ella drove up from Gaithersburg, MD to have a special downtown session. Amy was a little nervous about how Ella would react to us, as she is a more cautious little girl with strangers. But in no time, we were getting the laughs and smiles out of her. Time, patience and fun is all you need! Ella had a blast walking down the sidewalks and playing at the park - we found some new little spots to explore!

Double Trouble w/cousins, Ava & Jake Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Ava and Jake are cousins that like to have a good time! Ava's mom Connie contacted us to have some photos taken of Ava and Jake to give to her mom for Christmas. These two were all over the place as we did their session near the studio. Making faces, laughing, chasing each other - they had not seen each other for awhile previous to this, so they were super eager to play and catch up. Everything was funny and goofy to these two, so we went with the goofiness and still managed to grab a few not so goofy shots for mom. Meagan, Jake's mom, is Connie's sister, so we also did a few shots with the whole crew. Check them out!

A few weddings featured in magazines Tuesday, January 12, 2010
I have 3 articles below that have all been featured in magazines within the last year. The first one below is the most recent, and is on the newsstands now. It is the Jan/Feb 2010 issue of Susquehanna Style magazine, featuring Christina & Willem's downtown Lancaster wedding from this past September. We also have a photo on the front cover! How exciting!
I have 2 other articles below that are from 2009, sorry I didn't get them up sooner!
Here is Brides Philadelphia Fall/Winter 2009 - we did not take the image on the cover, here below, but I just wanted to include it so you could see it was from a different magazine. The article below that features Brooke & Nick's wedding from September 2008.

Halloween Mini Sessions in the Studio Thursday, January 7, 2010
Ok, so I know it's January and I know I'm horrible, but yes, here are some Halloween pictures to look at! :) I think you all know we were super swamped from the end of October right up until Christmas. We just didn't have a second to breathe! So I was pretty delayed in getting everything up, including these super-cute photos from our first ever Halloween mini-sessions! The session was just a quick 5-10 minute session, and included a 5x7 print with the session fee. (Additional orders could be made as well.) We didn't get quite as many sign ups as we hoped for, but since this was our first year doing it we attributed it to that. We are hoping for a big response for this year!

Fall color with Brock and Becca Thursday, January 7, 2010
They're back! We have been photographing our good friends Brock and Becca for 4 years now, and we realized we never did a fall session! So here we are, on a perfectly fall day back at the end of October, photographing some of our best friends. We did a bit of a combo session, mixing some fall color with a downtown shot. We definitely had a great time and can't wait to photograph them again!
