Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Lisa and Randy had been in for our Valentine's day shoot, and had wanted to get their kids involved in some sessions as well. We walked around Lancaster and had some fun with Lisa, Randy and his boys. There was a lot of goofing off and joking around as you can see! Can't wait to work with these guys again, next time we will get to photograph Randy, Lisa and her kids!

Jen, Derric & Anna in downtown York Wednesday, June 23, 2010
Isn't Anna the sweetest thing? She is so adorable! Way back in May (yeah, we are THAT far behind with blogging) - we hiked down to York to photograph Anna with her mom Jen, and dad, Derric. Jen had heard about us from one of our past brides, Crisha, and was really excited to have us take some photos of all of them. York was pretty blustery that day, the wind was whipping all over the place - sending Anna and Jen's hair flying! After some fun out on the street, we tucked into market, and found some super fun backdrops to use. We really enjoyed working with little Anna and her mom and dad, I hope we can do it again real soon!
Happy baby!

To market, to market to catch a fat pig! (or in this case, carrying a bunch of eggs!)
Hey y'all! We're off and running again - we have several weddings we will be photographing, plus taking a vacation with our boys before the season gets too crazy. The office/studio/gallery/boutique will be closed until June 21st. We will have limited internet access while away, so please be patient if you send us an email. We'll try to get back to you as soon as we can!
Tanner's Presto Change-o! Fun baby session! Thursday, June 10, 2010
Tanner's mommy asked if we could do something different for his portrait session, so we decided to play baby dress up! Tanner was a wonderful sport, and put up with the many changes. First he was a handsome office worker in his shirt and tie. We played in his crib for those shots. He really likes the turtles in his crib. After we were done with that, we Tanner decided to be a cow. This one was especially fun. Next, he turned into a Newsie, in his vintage looking attire. And lastly, we went for the summer casual, with a button down turtle shirt. We moved all over the house for this session, and also taught Tanner some bad tricks. (oops!) Like climbing the stairs, sitting in the toy box...
Jen (Tanner's mommy) thought we were a bad influence. :) You decide!

Kurstan and Shawn's Downtown Philadelphia Wedding Wednesday, May 26, 2010
Our first wedding of 2010. Um...great couple, great view, great weather - what else do we need? Kurstan and Shawn were married May 1st at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. We trotted up to the deck (rooftop) and did a whole gaggle of photos with them. They had decided to see each other before the ceremony and get all of the photos out of the way, so they could enjoy the rest of the day with their guests. We had a pretty darn tootin' good time up there, then headed down to do a few shots on the streets of Philly. The ceremony was short and sweet, and then it was back up to the rooftop for the cocktail hour at sunset! Boy was that gorgeous! The reception was held in Franklin Hall, which is really, quite a stunning room with the lighting options that they have available.
Shawn and Kurstan are two really spectacular people and we feel super privileged that we were able to work with them. To see what all happened, continue reading below...

We found some kids that were willing to be props while we were out shooting in the street. They were having a blast!
